Even Batman had a Sidekick

Not so long ago, before iPhones, Droids, and Black-berries were all the rage, some folks just couldn't live without their Sidekick.

Take Roy for example.  He was so attached to his Sidekick that his friends decided to get it immortalized in cake for his 18th birthday.

This crazy birthday cake was sculpted cake covered in fondant, with fondant accents.  Chad made the keyboard and screen graphics using his graphics program and then printed them out on edible images.  The screen was made from gumpaste.

My one regret is that the screen didn't want to stay up.  I finally used a small tin to help support the lid.

Have a great weekend and thanks SO much for stopping by!!
